// About AppDNA Agency

We ran the loop by hand for a decade. Then we built the machine — and rebuilt the agency on top of it.

Most agencies say they use AI. We are the agency that built the platform first, then rebuilt itself to run on it. Human strategists. AI execution. Results that compound — in a workspace you own.

AppDNA Agency is an AI-native app marketing agency for subscription apps, founded by Michael Synowiec and Michael Mroz. It is the services practice that built the AppDNA platform, rebuilt on top of it: ten years of hands-on app-growth work — roughly 300 apps worked on as a services team, including engagements for Aion Bank, Dunkin', and Homa Games — encoded into a Growth OS, which the agency now runs as its production floor. Senior human strategists direct the platform's agents and approve every change; everything lands in a workspace the client keeps if they leave.

// WHERE THIS COMES FROM

Ten years. ~300 apps. The same loop, every time — by hand.

AppDNA started as a services team. For ten years, since iOS 10, we grew other people's apps by hand — onboarding flows, paywalls, store listings, retention journeys, ad accounts — across roughly 300 apps, running what adds up to hundreds of thousands of tests and optimizations. Not advising: doing. The loop never changed — audit the funnel, find the biggest leak, design the fix, ship it, measure, keep what works. What changed was how good we got at running it.

Homa Games

ASO and paid UA finally working as one system across the portfolio.

All of the above was delivered as services by the AppDNA team — the practice that became the platform. The software you can buy today did not produce these results; the method inside it did. We label the era because unlabeled results are how agencies lose the right to be believed.

Knowing what to do was never the problem. Shipping it — and keeping what you learned — was.

Somewhere around year seven we started asking every team the same question: "What did you test in the last 12 months?" Eight out of ten couldn't answer; the other two sent fifty Excel files. And we watched the same two failures on repeat, including in our own service model:

Frankenstein growth.

Eight to fifteen tools stitched together — analytics here, paywalls there, messaging somewhere else — each seeing one slice of the funnel, none of them shipping anything. Smart teams spending the week being the integration layer between their own tools.

The knowledge walks out the door.

A tester leaves and the context leaves with her. An agency contract ends and the doc goes stale — including ours. We would find the leak, hand over the plan, and six months later the learning had evaporated. Expertise that lives in people does not compound.

We stopped selling the loop and built it.

By 2026, AI made the choice obvious. What took our specialists weeks — the analysis, the hypothesis, the variant design — could now happen in minutes, if it was a system grounded in a real funnel rather than a consultant with a chatbot. The one thing AI did not fix on its own was the part that was always broken: shipping the change and keeping the learning. So we built AppDNA — the App Growth OS for subscription apps: nine growth modules covering the full funnel, one event pipeline, one experiments engine, and an SDK that puts approved changes live on devices without an App Store release. Behind every module, its own specialist agent — the team we used to be, encoded. The system proposes. You approve. It ships. It learns. The knowledge that used to leave with people now compounds in Growth Memory, in your workspace.

The services team didn't go away. It got a production floor made of software.

Here is the part that makes this an agency page and not a product page: we did not shut the agency down when we built the platform. We rebuilt it on top of the platform. The senior strategists are the same people who ran the engagements above — but now their production capacity is the platform's agents instead of a room of humans doing the manual work. That is what "AI-native" means here, concretely: not an agency that uses AI tools, but an agency whose production floor is software it built. Strategy stays human — direction, judgment, approval. Execution is automatic — the agents draft the work around the clock, and everything they produce lands in a workspace the client owns.

Not a black box — every experiment, result, and decision lands in your Growth Memory, in your workspace, from day one.

Not a six-week cycle — the platform ships changes without an App Store release, so approved work goes live in days.

Not knowledge that walks out the door — the learning lives in your Growth Memory, and Growth Memory doesn't resign.

Fire us and keep everything.

The workspace is yours. Leave, and the system, the history, and the learnings stay with you — written into the contract, not the goodbye email. No traditional agency can say that; it is true here by architecture.

Two Michaels. One loop.

Michael Synowiec
Founder, CEO / CTO

Both halves of the loop, in one person. A decade in app growth since iOS 10, roughly 300 apps worked on personally, and the course that taught the method — and the engineer who wrote the platform and the SDK himself. He connects how subscription apps actually grow with the engineering to ship it, and that connection is what AppDNA is built from.

Michael Mroz
App Growth Architect

The growth architect. Over 7 years designing app growth — the playbooks, the paid and organic marketing experience, and the funnel and category patterns the system now runs on. He keeps the growth thinking deep and current, so the product's recommendations come from real practice, not generic advice.

The rules we run on.

01

Execution over analysis

Strategy stays human. Execution becomes automatic. We measure ourselves by experiments shipped, not reports delivered.

02

Systems over tactics

One-off wins reset every quarter. We build the system where every experiment becomes permanent Growth Memory — yours.

03

Speed with guardrails

Weekly cycles beat quarterly plans — but nothing ships without your approval, rollouts start at 10% of traffic, and a stop-loss withdraws anything that hurts a guarded metric.

04

Truth over noise

One source of truth for growth data — and the same standard for our marketing: every number we publish is verified and framed for exactly what it is. This page included.

05

Full-funnel or bust

Onboarding moves paywalls; paywalls move retention; retention moves what you can pay for acquisition. We never optimize one stage blind to the rest.

06

We work ourselves out of the retainer

The engagement is built to make you need any one person — including us — less, not more. The system stays either way.

Same company, two ways to engage — and each site names the other once so you never get lost. appdna.ai is the platform: the system, self-serve, you run it, from $99/mo. appdna.agency is the agency: the same system with senior operators driving it. Product intent goes to .ai; done-for-you and managed intent goes here. Every managed client here runs on the exact same platform sold on .ai — the two sites are the two ways to buy one system, not two products.
